Meeting Minutes

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Nickajack Lake Tourn. out of the Shell Mound Ramp. (Saturday, February 23, 7:00 a.m./Safe light - 3:00 p.m.) We will leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 4:30 a.m.

 

  1. The Sparta Bass Club Team is as follows:

  1. 2007 Points Champion: Mitch Farley, 1660 Total Points, added to jacket.

2007 Big Fish Award: Adam Hickey, 6.59 lbs. L.M.B., added to jacket.

            

  1. New shirts were purchased and made up for the following members; Tim Brown, David Harris, Adam Hickey, Mike Hurst, Bob Underwood and Gerald Usrey. A new jacket was completed for Randell Mahler also.

 

Announcements:

 

  1. 21 members attended the January meeting. We had 27 people fish the Center Hill Lake Tournament, 5 guests attended.

 

  1. Center Hill Lake Results: 1st Josh Farris; 9.38 lbs., 2nd Donnie Harris; 7.98 lbs., 3rd Jason Dunn; 6.21 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Gerald Usrey; 3.03 lbs. K.S.B. We caught 38 fish with a total weight of 68.22 lbs. Note: I forgot to bring up the discussion of last month’s winning lures and patterns. We will do both January and February during the March meeting.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF Annual Spring Officers and Directors meeting will be held February 18th in Cookeville, TN. Ricky England, Dewayne Dotson and Kessler Yoder will attend. Laura Canada and the Cookeville Chamber of Commerce have been invited to discuss the possibility of their sponsorship of the 2009 Eastern Divisional State Tournament.

 

  1. The club’s 1st fund raiser Bass Tournament will be held on the Caney Fork River, Good Friday, March 21st, 2008, 7am-3pm out of Cotton’s Marina ramp. Note: Five fish limit per boat.

 

  1. The club’s 2nd fund raiser will be a Co-ed Big Bass Tournament on Center Hill Lake, Saturday, April 12th, 2008, 7am-noon out of the Ragland Bottom ramp with a picnic social held in the pavilion after the weigh-in. Note: One fish limit per female and one fish limit per male per boat.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Pickwick Lake, Pickwick Landing State Park, September 25-27th.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on Chickamauga Lake, Dayton, TN, Dayton Boat Dock ramp, October 9-11th.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF State meeting will be held November 1st at the Guest House Inn located at 2420 Music Valley Drive, Nashville, TN, time TBD.
