Meeting Minutes

June 12, 2008

Issues to Cover:

1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Dale Hollow Lake Tourn. out of the Sunset Bridge Ramps. (Saturday, May 21, 6:00 p.m. - midnight) We will meet at the lake at 5:30 p.m.

4. Discussion of May’s winning lures and patterns. Cordell Hull, 60-65*, clear-dingy water, Elev. 504.1-504.2’, Weather, 50* cloudy, fog & calm am, mid-morning 60* sunny/light wind, 70* sunny pm, with 10-15 mph winds, Boat #10;1^st & 9^th,   Rattle trap Blue Chrome / rattle trap & Brush Hog, Boat #6; 2^nd, Boat #12; 3^rd & 4^th, Spinner baits, lizard, paca craw and fluke, big fish was caught by boat #10 on a rattle trap in 2 foot of water.

Announcements:

1. 18 members attended the May meeting. We had 24 people fish the Cordell Hull Lake Tournament, 3 guests attended.

2. Cordell Hull Lake Results: 1^st Mike Hurst; 10.12 lbs., 2^nd Tim Matheney; 7.81 lbs., 3^rd Kessler Yoder; 7.68 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Mike Hurst; 6.13 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 86 fish with a total weight of 108.03 lbs.

3. We are working with Laura Canada and the Cookeville Chamber of Commerce. We are discussing the possibility of their sponsorship of the 2009 Eastern Divisional State Tournament on Center Hill Lake. Charles Mitchell, Ricky England and Kessler Yoder have all met with Laura.

4. The club’s 3^rd fund raiser was a Co-ed Big Bass Tournament held on Cordell Hull Lake, Saturday, May 10^th, 2008, 7am-1 pm out of the Granville Marina ramp with a picnic social held after the weigh-in. The results were as follows: Women’s, 1^st Lisa Yoder; 1.04 lbs., 2^nd Tamara England & Tammy Kulpa & Men’s, 1^st Adam Hickey; 4.72 lbs., 2^nd Rob Kulpa; 1.11 lbs., 3^rd Ricky England; 1.06 lbs. We had 4 boats and 4 actual paid entries; $40.00 was raised to be used for club expenses. We would like to thank everyone who fished with us and everyone involved for their assistance before and after the tournament.

5. The Free Fishing Day in Tennessee this year was Saturday, June 7^th. Our club members assisted with several events in our local area. Casting competitions were held. We used 3-4 volunteers at Fall Creek Falls & Cane Creek Parks.

6. The 2008 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Pickwick Lake, Pickwick Landing State Park, September 25-27^th.

7. The 2008 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on Chickamauga Lake, Dayton, TN, Dayton Boat Dock ramp, October 9-11^th.

8. The 2008 TBF State meeting will be held November 1^{st at} the Guest House Inn located at 2420 Music Valley Drive, Nashville, TN, time TBD.
