Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Cordell Hull Lake Tourn. out of the Granville Marina Ramp. (Saturday, May 17, 7:00 a.m./Safe light - 3:00 p.m.) We will leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 4:45 a.m.

  1. Discussion of April’s winning lures and patterns. Tim Ford Lake, 70-74*, clear-dingy water, Elev. 886.3-886.4’, Weather, 60* cloudy, light rain & calm am, mid-morning cloudy/light wind, 72* partly cloudy-sunny pm, with 5-10 mph winds, Boat #10;1st & 4th, brush hog, fluke & floating worm, Boat #2; 2nd & 21st, spinner baits, Boat #9; 3rd & 19th, 5” watermelon senko catching bedding fish, all males, needed sun out for active bite, big fish was caught by boat #2 on a double willow leaf spinner bait.                   .

 

Announcements:

 

  1. 18 members and 1 guest attended the April meeting. My Dad, Ken Yoder who will soon be moving to Tennessee and will be interested in joining our club. We had 31 people fish the Tims Ford Lake Tournament, 7 guests attended.

 

  1. Tims Ford Lake Results: 1st Donnie Harris; 11.70 lbs., 2nd Kenneth Young; 10.13 lbs., 3rd Mike Hurst; 8.65 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Kenneth Young; 3.20 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 44 fish with a total weight of 79.06 lbs.

 

  1. We are working with Laura Canada and the Cookeville Chamber of Commerce. We are discussing the possibility of their sponsorship of the 2009 Eastern Divisional State Tournament on Center Hill Lake. Charles Mitchell, Ricky England and Kessler Yoder have all met with Laura.

 

  1. The club’s 3rd fund raiser will be a Co-ed Big Bass Tournament held on Cordell Hull Lake, Saturday, May 10th, 2008, 7am-1 pm out of the Granville Marina ramp with a picnic social held after the weigh-in.

 

  1. The Free Fishing Day in Tennessee this year will be Saturday, June 7th. Our club members will assist with several events in our local area. Casting competition packaged kits have been ordered. We will need about 3-4 volunteers for Fall Creek Falls & Cane Creek Parks each.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Pickwick Lake, Pickwick Landing State Park, September 25-27th.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on Chickamauga Lake, Dayton, TN, Dayton Boat Dock ramp, October 9-11th.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF State meeting will be held November 1st at the Guest House Inn located at 2420 Music Valley Drive, Nashville, TN, time TBD.
