Meeting Minutes

October 16, 2008

 

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Woods Reservoir Tourn. out of the Public ramp. (Saturday, October 25, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) We will leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 4:45 a.m.

 

  1. We voted in September to move the October meeting and tournament back one week to avoid the conflict with the state tournament on October 9-11th and allow for pre-fishing on October 18-19th. The meeting was moved from 10/09/08 to 10/16/08 and the tournament was moved from 10/18/08 to 10/25/08.

 

  1. We have moved the November annual meeting from Thursday November 6th to Sunday the 2nd at 2:00 P.M. Approval vote passed at last weigh-in.

 

  1. Discussion of September’s winning lures and patterns. Chickamauga Lake, 72-78*, clear-tinted water, Elev. 681.15-.30’, Weather, 50’s* cloudy/light breeze, warmed to 80’s*, partly cloudy, light breeze, Boat #9; 1st & 18th, Sexy Shad rattle trap and 10” power worm texas rigged/1/4 oz weight, 6’ deep humps along the main channel, Boat #7; 2nd & 18th, Green watermelon pepper tubes shallow around wood, Boat #13; 3rd & 18th, 3/4 oz quad shad spinner bait white shallow around wood, big fish was caught by boat #12 on a shaky head worm in shallow water on the end of a grass flat next to the main channel.

 

  1. All proposed changes to club bylaws or tournament rules to be voted on during the November meeting must be turned in by the end of today’s meeting. Open for discussion/clarification during this meeting.

Announcements:

 

  1. 16 members attended the September meeting. We had 28 people fish the Chickamauga Lake Tournament, 4 guests attended.

 

  1. Chickamauga  Lake Results: 1st Mitch Harrington; 10.04 lbs., 2nd Lee Currier; 8.00 lbs., 3rd Joe Shappard; 6.89 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Mitch Farley; 4.96 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 42 fish with a total weight of 81.62 lbs.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament was held on Chickamauga Lake, Dayton, TN, October 9-11th out of the Dayton Boat Dock ramp in Richland Creek. There was 33 total clubs registered to fish, ~193 entries & 97 boats. The results were as follows:

 

  • The Sparta Bass Club Team results were as follows: 15th, 17/17, 36.26lbs.

  1. The 2008 TBF State meeting will be held November 1st at the Guest House Inn located at 2420 Music Valley Drive, Nashville, TN, time TBD.
