Meeting Minutes

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Chickamauga Lake Tourn. out of the Dayton Boat Dock ramps. (Saturday, September 27, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) We will leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 4:45 a.m.

 

  1. FLW Outdoors membership requirements, tournament/full membership vs. magazine subscription membership based on TN Bass Federation Bylaws and what the return is to the State Bass Federations.

 

  1. We voted to move the October meeting and tournament back one week to avoid the conflict with the state tournament on October 9-11th and allow for pre-fishing on October 18-19th. The meeting was moved from 10/09/08 to 10/16/08 and the tournament was moved from 10/18/08 to 10/25/08.

 

  1. We have tentatively moved the November annual meeting from Thursday November 6th to Sunday the 2nd at 2:00 P.M. pending an approval vote after the weigh-in at the Chickamauga tournament. Approval vote passed.

 

  1. Discussion of August’s winning lures and patterns. Dale Hollow, 82*, clear water, Elev. 643.20’, Weather, 90* cloudy/light breeze, cooled to 80*, cleared before dark, light breeze, moon up late when leaving, Boat #1; 1st & 11th, Center Hill worm texas rigged & shaky head worm, 20-40’ deep in brush piles & pea gravel point off the end of rock bluffs, Boat #5; 2nd & 24th, Plastic worm, 20-30’ deep rock piles, Boat #3; 3rd & 24th, night time spinner bait/red chunk trailer in 10’ of water or less, big fish was caught by boat #1 on a shaky head worm in 30 feet of water.

Announcements:

 

  1. 16 members attended the August meeting. We had 29 people fish the Dale Hollow Lake Tournament, 5 guests attended.

 

  1. Dale Hollow Lake Results: 1st Mitch Farley; 9.66 lbs., 2nd Ricky England; 5.80 lbs., 3rd Mike Hurst; 4.11 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Mitch Farley; 5.49 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 39 fish with a total weight of 58.67 lbs.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Pickwick Lake, Pickwick Landing State Park, September 25-27th.

 

  1. The 2008 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on Chickamauga Lake, Dayton, TN, October 9-11th out of the Dayton Boat Dock ramp in Richland Creek. There is currently 36 total clubs registered to fish, ~216 entries & 108 boats. I have reserved rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Dayton, Tennessee for both nights as of right now. Room assignments are listed below. Registration will be from 1-3 p.m. eastern time, at the Rhea County Welcome Center. The pairings meeting will start at 6 p.m. eastern time at the Rhea County National Guard Armory. We will all have to be at the Holiday Inn Express, Dayton by 12:30 p.m. eastern time on Thursday October 9th.

  1. The 2008 TBF State meeting will be held November 1st at the Guest House Inn located at 2420 Music Valley Drive, Nashville, TN, time TBD.
