Meeting Minutes

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Chickamauga Lake Tourn. out of the Soddy Creek ramp. (Saturday, August 28, 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) We will leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 4:00 a.m.

 

  1. The Sparta Bass Club Team is as follows:

  1. Discussion of July’s winning lures and patterns. Center Hill Lake, Weather; 84*, clear & winds 6 mph. SW at 7 p.m., 78*, clear & light breeze of 3 mph SW at 10 p.m., 74*, clear & winds 6 mph. S at 1 a.m. , water 628.66 to 628.70, 86.0-88.0* and clear to tinted, Boat # 14; 1st & 3rd , ¾ oz. hot lips crankbait, craw colored & DT16 crankbait in bluegill color in 10’-20’ of water, Boat # 13, 2nd & 7th , deep bandit in spring craw & plum apple old monster worm in less than 15’ of water, Boat # 8; 4th & 19th , Carolina rigged fluke in 20‘-30’ of water, big fish 5.23 lbs. (LMB) was caught by boat # 2 on a big red worm in 10’-15’ of water.

 

  1. We voted to cover the expenses of Dewayne Dotson and Jeff Stafford from this year’s TN Youth State Tournament that was held at Kentucky Lake.

 

Announcements:

 

  1. 22 members attended the July meeting; we had 32 people fish the Center Hill Lake Tournament, 7 guests attended

 

  1. Center Hill Lake Results: 1st Jeff Stafford; 3/3, 9.89 lbs., 2nd Charlie Hawkins; 2/2, 7.09 lbs., 3rd Scott Griner; 4/3, 6.72 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Dewayne Dotson; 5.23 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 33 fish with a total weight of 69.06 lbs.

 

  1. The 2010 Edgar Evans/Corp. of Engineers Kid’s Tournament will be held on Center Hill Lake, September 25th out of the Ragland Bottom Area Ramp. We will be making up a list of club members to be boaters/guides that day. Ricky E., Jeff S., Larry S., Dewayne D., Joe S. and Kessler Y have volunteered so far.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on Center Hill Lake, September 30 - October 2nd out of the Ragland Bottom Area Ramp. We will be making up a list of club members to work the ramp and parking lots during both days of the state tournament. Can work both days; Joe S., Kenny Y. & Kessler. Friday only; Larry S. Saturday only; Jeff S., Tommy M., Adam H. & Chase H.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Old Hickory Lake, October 21-23rd out of the Saunders Ferry Park Ramp.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF State meeting will be November 6th with time & place TBD.

 

  1. Army Corp of Engineers; Center Hill Dam Seepage Reduction Website, please refer to the following for recent developments and updates. http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/CenterHill/ We will post a link on our club site. A chart of ramp elevations was passed around at the meeting also.
