Meeting Minutes

December 9, 2010

 

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Center Hill Lake Tourn. out of the Hurricane Bridge ramp. (Saturday, December 18, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) The club voted to change the ramp location because of two tournaments already scheduled out of Ragland Bottom on the 18th. We will meet at the ramp parking lot at 6:30 a.m.

 

  1. . We voted on the tournament schedule, (i.e. waters, dates, times and ramps).

·         We had 13 voting members present for items listed above.

·         ·       The 2011 tournament schedule will be available on the web site and in print by the18th of December.

·         ·       Club dues must be received by the December meeting to keep your membership current and stay on the club rosters/FLW mailings.

·         ·       Sparta Bass Club dues will be $25.00 at this time and the FLW dues will be $35.00 for a total of $60.00 due.

 

  1.  The club’s web site has not been sponsored for the 2011 season yet. We would appreciate financial assistance from any organization or group to maintain our web page and/or support our tournament teams. S & R Marine has pledged $100.00 for 2011 so far.

 

  1. Discussion of November’s winning lures and patterns. Tims Ford Lake, Weather; 52*, fair/clear & wind SE at 6mph. at 7 a.m., 66*, fair/clear & wind S at 12mph. at 11 a.m., 71*, partly cloudy & wind S at 8 mph. at 3 p.m., water 881.59-.61, 60.0-63.0* and clear to tinted, Boat # 4; 1st & 12th , black/blue jig & a watermelon/red baby brush hog in , 15’-20’ of water, Boat # 7, 2nd & 16th , black/blue jig fishing in 5-20’ of water, Boat # 3 3rd , Spro and DT Thug crank baits in shad patterns in 5-15‘ of water, big fish 6.32 lbs. (LMB) was caught by boat # 7 on a jig off a stump in 5-10’ of water.

 

 

Announcements:

 

  1. 16 members attended the November meeting; we had 29 people fish the Tims ford Lake Tournament, 9 guests attended

 

  1. Tims Ford Lake Results: 1st Jeff Stafford; 5/5, 13.37 lbs., 2nd Ricky England; 3/3, 8.86 lbs., 3rd Robert Underwood; 2/2, 6.31 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Ricky England; 6.32 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 28 fish with a total weight of 65.94 lbs.

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Southern Divisional Tournament will be held on Green River Lake in Kentucky from May 29 to June 4, 2011. Mitch Farley and Ricky England will be boaters on this year’s TN State Team.

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Youth State Tournament will be held in June at a site TBD.

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament, will be held on Chickamauga Lake out of the Dayton Boat Dock on October 13-15, 2011.

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Kentucky Lake out of Paris Landing State Park on September 29-October 1, 2011.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF State meeting was held Saturday November 6th, 2010 in Cookeville, TN at the Clarion Hotel on South Jefferson from 8:30 a.m. to ~1 p.m. Ricky England, Dewayne Dotson and Joe Shappard attended. Mitch Farley won the fish-off held Friday November 5th on Cordell Hull Lake out of the Roaring River ramp.
