Meeting Minutes

January 14, 2010

 

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Center Hill Lake Tourn. out of the Ragland Bottom ramp. (Saturday, January 23, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) We will meet at the ramp parking lot at 6:30 a.m.

 

  1. The Sparta Bass Club Team is as follows:

Club jackets and/or shirts were purchased for the following club members.

 

  1. We are completing the signature page for all club members to show that they have read both revised versions of the club tournament rules and by-laws.

 

  1. Club dues must be received by the December meeting to keep your membership current and stay on the club rosters/FLW mailings. Sparta Bass Club dues will be $25.00 at this time and the FLW dues will be $35.00 for a total of $60.00 due. * Some members FLW dues will be pro-rated for the balance of the 2010 membership year.

 

  1. The club’s web site will be sponsored for the 2010 season by Wayne Roberts and S & R Marine in Cookeville, TN. We appreciate his sponsorship of our web page this year. Tim Morrison has taken on the responsibilities of updating and maintaining the club’s web site.

 

  1. Discussion of December’s winning lures and patterns. Center Hill Lake, Weather; 30’s*, clear, cold & calm at 7 a.m., sunny, clear & cold 30’s* at 3 p.m. with light 3-5 mph southwest wind, water 623.25-623.30’, 47-54* and clear to good tint, Boat # 9; 1st & 8th, green colored jig & drop shot in 20-50’ of water, Boat # 7, 2nd, sexy shad 300 bandit crank bait & spinner bait in 8-10’ of water, Boat # 13; 3rd , black/blue jig in 30-40’ of water, big fish 4.58 lbs.(LMB) was caught by boat # 9 on a jig, fishing in 50’ of water.

 

Announcements:

 

  1. 21 members attended the December meeting; we had 23 people fish the Center Hill Lake Tournament, 5 guests attended.

 

  1. Center Hill Results: 1st Tommy Stiles; 5/5, 11.85 lbs., 2nd Robert Underwood; 5/5, 11.03 lbs., 3rd Mike Hurst; 5/5, 10.77 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Tommy Stiles; 4.58 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 86 fish with a total weight of 134.48 lbs.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on Center Hill Lake, September 30 - October 2nd out of the Ragland Bottom Area Ramp.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Old Hickory Lake, October 21-23rd out of the Saunders Ferry Park Ramp.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF State meeting will be November 6th with time & place TBD.

 

  1. Army Corp of Engineers; Center Hill Dam Seepage Reduction Website, please refer to the following for recent developments and updates. http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/CenterHill/ We will post a link on our club site. A chart of ramp elevations was passed around at the meeting also.
