Meeting Minutes

June 10, 2010

 

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Caney Fork River Tourn. out of the Cotton’s Marina ramp. (Saturday, June 19, 5:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) We will meet at the ramp 4:30 a.m. No wake zone bridge pillar to bridge pillar. Please pay the entry and ramp fee to Kessler at the dock. The membership voted for a time change for this tournament.

  1. Discussion of May’s winning lures and patterns. Caney Fork River, Weather; 64*, clear & calm at 6 a.m., 70*, partly cloudy, rain & winds E at 5 mph at 10 a.m., 75*, partly cloudy & winds variable at 3-6 at 2 p.m. , water 798.18 to 798.02, 70.5-74.5* and tinted to colored, Boat # 14; 1st & 21st , tandem spinner bait, white/chat./blue, parallel to bank in less than 5’ of water & blueberry brush hog, Boat # 12, 2nd & 5th , zoom old monster plum/apple worm, buzz bait & finesse worm off of wood in less than 10’ of water, Boat # 11; 3rd & 11th , Gene Larew green pumpkin craw & brush hog in less than 10‘ of water, Boat # 4; 4th , black/blue jig in less than 10‘ of water, big fish 3.95 lbs. (LMB) was caught by boat # 15 on a black/blue jig around/off of wood.

 

Announcements:

 

  1. 19 members attended the May meeting; we had 28 people fish the Caney Fork River Tournament, 7 guests attended.

 

  1. Caney Fork River Results: 1st Kenneth Young; 5/5, 7.40 lbs., 2nd Paul Throgmorton; 5/4, 6.94 lbs., 3rd David Harris; 5/5, 6.33 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Steve Masters; 3.95 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 61 fish with a total weight of 73.13 lbs.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on Center Hill Lake, September 30 - October 2nd out of the Ragland Bottom Area Ramp.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Old Hickory Lake, October 21-23rd out of the Saunders Ferry Park Ramp.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Youth State Tournament was held on Kentucky Lake June 4-5th out of New Johnsonville, TN. The results were; 11-14 age group; 11th Hunter Mason; 2/2, 2.78 lbs., 16th Victoria Cass; 1/1, 0.96 lbs.; 15-18 age group; 4th Jordan Jellinick; 4/4, 8.28 lbs. & 18th David Daniel, 1/1, 1.47 lbs. Dwayne Dotson and Jeff Stafford worked and supervised this event, 25 points were awarded.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF State meeting will be November 6th with time & place TBD.
