Meeting Minutes

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Guntersville Lake Tourn. out of the Mud Creek ramp. (Saturday, September 11, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) We will leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 4:00 a.m. and meet at the ramp at 6:30 a.m.

  1. Discussion of August’s winning lures and patterns. Chickamauga Lake, Weather; 72*, partly cloudy & calm at 6 a.m., 83*, a few clouds & light breeze of 5 mph N at 10 a.m., 90*, mostly cloudy & winds 10 mph. SE at 2 p.m., water 681.82 to 681.55, 82.0-87.0* and clear to tinted, Boat # 4; 1st & 6th , black/blue jig, spinner baits & deep crank baits in 10’-20’ of water, Boat # 5, 2nd & 7th , rattle trap & deep crank baits fishing main channel shell bed in 10-15’ of water, Boat # 7 3rd & 5th , texas rigged worm (plum-apple), paca craw (junebug), green tube & chatterbaits (chartreuse-white or purple shad) in 3‘-10’ of water, big fish 5.04 lbs. (LMB) was caught by boat # 4 on a black/blue jig out of a tree in 15’-20’ of water.

 

  1. Alabama fishing licenses can be purchased online at www.outdoorsalabama.com The annual license is $46.00 each with a 2% fee added of 0.92. The seven-day trip license is $26.00 each with a 2% fee added of 0.52. You can also call for a license at 1-888-848-6887, but the fee for this is $3.95 each call.

 

Announcements:

 

  1. 18 members attended the August meeting; we had 18 people fish the Chickamauga Lake Tournament, 2 guests attended

 

  1. Chickamauga Lake Results: 1st Scott Griner; 3/3, 8.38 lbs., 2nd Mike Hurst; 4/4, 7.55 lbs., 3rd Ricky England; 4/4, 6.91 lbs., & Big Fish caught by Scott Griner; 5.04 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 28 fish with a total weight of 55.27 lbs.

 

  1. The 2010 Edgar Evans/Corp. of Engineers Kid’s Tournament will be held on Center Hill Lake, September 25th out of the Ragland Bottom Area Ramp. We will be making up a list of club members to be boaters/guides that day. Ricky E., Jeff S., Larry S., Dewayne D., Joe S., Robert Underwood and Kessler Y have volunteered so far.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on Center Hill Lake, September 30 - October 2nd out of the Ragland Bottom Area Ramp. We will be making up a list of club members to work the ramp and parking lots during both days of the state tournament. Can work both days; Joe S., Kenny Y. & Kessler. Friday only; Larry S. Saturday only; Jeff S., Tommy M., David H., Adam H. & Chase H.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Old Hickory Lake, October 21-23rd out of the Saunders Ferry Park Ramp.

 

  1. The 2010 TBF State meeting will be November 6th with time & place TBD.

 

  1. Army Corp of Engineers; Center Hill Dam Seepage Reduction Website, please refer to the following for recent developments and updates. http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/CenterHill/ We will post a link on our club site. A chart of ramp elevations was passed around at the meeting also.
