Meeting Minutes

December 1, 2011

 

Issues to Cover:

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Center Hill Lake Tourn. out of the Hurricane Bridge ramp. (Saturday, December 10, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) We will meet at the ramp parking lot at 6:30 a.m.

 

  1. Discussion of November’s winning lures and patterns. Dale Hollow Lake, Weather; 42* clear and winds S at 5 mph. at 7 a.m., 57*, fair and winds SW at 8-18 mph. at 11 a.m., 58*, fair and winds S 10-18 mph. at 3 p.m., water 639.48-50, 58*-60* clear to tinted, Boat # 2; 1st & 2nd , jigging a spoon over 35’ of water, Boat # 9, 3rd  & 16th , crankbaits in 5-10’ of water, Boat # 11, 4th  & 7th , white/chartreuse spinner baits around stumps in <5’ of water, and big fish 3.94 lbs. (LMB) was caught by boat # 7 on a white spinner bait in <5’ of water.

 

  1. The club is looking for sponsors for the 2012 season. We would appreciate financial assistance from any organization or group to help support our club activities and tournament teams. Sponsor logos placed on our club’s home page will be linked to the sponsor’s web site.

 

  1. . We voted on the 2012 tournament schedule, (i.e. waters, dates, times and ramps).

·         ·       We had 17 voting members, 2 non-voting members and 1 guest present when we voted on the schedule.

·         ·       The 2012 tournament schedule will be available on the web site and in print by the17th of December.

·         ·       Club dues must have been received by the December meeting to keep your membership current and stay on the club rosters/FLW mailings.

·         ·       Sparta Bass Club dues are $25.00 at this time and the FLW dues will be $35.00 for a total of $60.00 due.

 

Announcements:

  1. 17 members attended the November meeting; we had 22 people fish the Dale Hollow Lake Tournament, with 3 being guests.

 

  1. Dale Hollow Lake Results: 1st Randy Loftis; 5/5, 8.29 lbs., 2nd David Harris; 5/4, 7.48 lbs., 3rd Robert Underwood; 3/3, 5.35 lbs. & Big Fish caught by Mark Hendrix; 3.94 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 30 fish with a total weight of 47.46 lbs.

 

  1. The 2nd Annual Bill Yancy Memorial Tournament will be held on Center Hill Lake out of the Ragland Bottom Recreation Area on Good Friday; April 6th, 2012 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

 

  1. The club’s Co-Ed Big Bass Tournament will be held on Cordell Hull Lake out of the Granville Marina Ramp on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 from 7 a.m. until Noon.

 

  1. The 2012 CATCH Youth Event will be held on Center Hill Lake out of Ragland Bottom Recreation Area on September 15, 2012.

 

  1. The 2012 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament will be held on either Fort Loudon/Tellico or Nickajack Lake on September 27-29th, 2012.

 

  1. The 2012 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Pickwick Lake out of Paris Landing State Park on October 11-13th, 2012.

 

  1. The 2012 TBF Fall State meeting will be held Saturday November 3rd, 2012 at a location TBD
