Meeting Minutes

July 14, 2011

 

Issues to Cover:

 

  1. Tournament Pairings and Blast-off order for the Chickamauga Lake Tourn. out of the Soddy Creek ramp. (Saturday, July 23, 5:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) We will meet and leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 3:15 a.m.

 

  1. The Sparta Bass Club Team is as follows:

  1. Discussion of June’s winning lures and patterns. Center Hill Lake, Weather; 86* mostly clear & W winds 8 mph at 4 p.m., 78*, clear and calm winds at 8 p.m., 72*, clear and calm winds at 12 a.m., water 635.45-.33, 80.0-85.0* & tinted, Boat # 7; 1st & 12th , firetiger & bleeding shad DT10, bluegill DT16 & cherry seed worm, sitting in 20-30’ throwing to 5-15’ of water around points, Boat # 4, 2nd & 16th , Texas rigged worm and Carolina rig, Boat # 14, 3rd & 23rd , jig, and big fish 3.85 lbs. (LMB) was caught by boat # 4 on a worm.

 

  1. We voted on a compromise time for this month’s scheduled tournament, time from 5:00am – 1:00 pm c.s.t. The idea was brought up for discussion and voted on. 18 voting members were present at this meeting.

 

Announcements:

 

  1. 16 members attended the June meeting; we had 29 people fish the Center Hill Lake Tournament, with 7 being guests.

 

  1. Center Hill Lake Results: 1st Kessler Yoder; 5/5, 11.42 lbs., 2nd David Harris; 3/3, 8.94 lbs., 3rd Steve Masters; 4/4, 8.24 lbs., 4th Mitch Farley; 5/5, 6.45 lbs. & Big Fish caught by David Harris; 3.85 lbs. L.M.B. We caught 52 fish with a total weight of 93.11 lbs.

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Southern Divisional Tournament was held on Green River Lake in Kentucky from May 29 to June 4, 2011. Mitch Farley and Ricky England were boaters on this year’s TN State Team.  The Tennessee team placed 4th out of 7 total teams, while Ricky placed 36th out of 80 anglers, and Mitch placed 41st.  Full results can be found at www.bassfederation.com/tournament-news/southern_division/hosko-and-kentucky-state-team-seal-the-deal-14-champion-anglers-advance-to-national-contest/.

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Youth State Tournament was held on Chickamauga Lake out of the Dayton Boat Dock on June 3-4, 2011.  Our Sparta Jr. Bass Club members placed as follows:  In the 15-18 age group, Serena Ingram placed 9th, Victoria Cass placed 13th, and Jordan Jellinick tied for 13th, out of 16 anglers.  In the 11-14 age group, Hunter Mason placed 3rd and Grayson Birdwell placed 10th out of 12 anglers.  Full results can be found at www.tnbass.com/trail/tourney.php?tid=867&type=A.

 

  1. The 2011 CATCH Youth Event will be held on Center Hill Lake out of Ragland Bottom Recreation Area on September 17, 2011

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Western Divisional State Tournament will be held on Kentucky Lake out of Paris Landing State Park on September 29-October 1, 2011.

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Eastern Divisional State Tournament, will be held on Chickamauga Lake out of the Dayton Boat Dock on October 13-15, 2011. I will reserve 6 rooms for the 13th & 14th at the Holiday Inn Express in Dayton, TN as
    a backup to any arrangements that everyone may find before the tournament.

 

  1. The 2011 TBF Fall State meeting will be held Saturday November 5th, 2011 at a location TBD.
